Summary
Machine parts often have some oil stains or rust, so let's talk about the cleaning methods of machine parts.
There are several situations in the cleaning of factory machines and machine parts. The first is the grease and anti-rust paint on the processed surface; the second is the internal dirt or deteriorated lubricating oil, which is stored in the pipeline or the fuel tank; the third is the long-term Rust due to improper storage or improper storage. Therefore, inspection, cleaning, and rust removal should be carried out when the equipment is installed or overhauled.
Cleaning is generally completed in two parts, namely rough washing and clean washing. Common cleaning methods are oil washing, alkaline washing, and acid washing.
Oil washing method
Diesel, kerosene, and gasoline are good solvents. The oil stains left on the parts can be dissolved in them, such as anti-rust oil and sludge. Because the solvent is lighter and has low viscosity, the residues adhering to the parts can settle to the bottom Department to achieve the purpose of purification. The selection of the above solvents, according to their applicability, can be carried out as follows. Light diesel oil is selected for the cleaning of steel parts. Because kerosene has a high acid value and contains a small amount of water, it is not easy to remove after cleaning, which will cause the parts to rust again and can be used for rough washing or initial washing of parts. Gasoline has a strong ability to remove grease and is volatile and can be used for cleaning or fine washing of parts.
Alkaline washing
Alkaline cleaning solvents can be divided into two types: strong alkaline and weak alkaline, which are formulated according to the needs of parts cleaning. The strong alkaline cleaning agent is made by mixing sodium hydroxide (0.5~1.0%), sodium carbonate (5.0~10%), or other strong alkali and water, and is used to clean general steel parts. The weak alkaline cleaning agent is made of trisodium phosphate (5.0~8.0%), sodium dihydrogen phosphate (2.0~3.0%), and other weak alkalis and water, and is used for cleaning steel and aluminum alloy parts. Alkaline solvents are mostly used for cleaning large parts due to their low cost. The solvent is heated to 60-90°C during cleaning, soaked or rinsed for ten minutes, and then rinsed with clean water to remove the remaining alkali and wipe off.
Pickling
The acidic cleaning agent is made by diluting 6% or 10% solution with sulfuric acid or hydrochloric acid and water. Used for washing steel parts with complex shapes, grooves, and cavities or slight rust, such as oil pipelines. In order to clean away the acid left on the parts, neutralize it with an alkaline cleaning agent, and then clean it with water, dry, or thin engine oil. These tasks should be carried out continuously.
In addition to the above methods, there are other methods, such as rubbing and cleaning some small precision machine parts with alcohol or banana water.
